Formation of the Upholsterers and Decorators Guild based in Brno, with co-founder Karel Pacák Sr elected Guildmaster.

The company is established
The QUALITY production cooperative was transformed into the limited liability company POLSTRIN DESIGN, with Karel Pacák Jr joining the firm and put in charge of developing new products and business.
1990
Post-revolution
A crucial meeting on the future of DŘEVOTVAR was held with the 560 members and they decided to restore the original QUALITY cooperative as well as the method for dividing up the assets.

The successful CLASSIC and GRANADA sofas
Using the design of Karel Pacák Sr, the successful CLASSIC and GRANADA sofas are developed.
1970
The innovative chair SIESTA
Using the design of Karel Pacák Sr, the innovative chair SIESTA is developed and becomes the first chair in this country to use the new technology of producing frames from foamed polyurethane raw materials from the GDR in laminate form.
1958
Karel Pacák Sr joins the cooperative
Karel Pacák Sr joins the cooperative as a worker-upholsterer and later held several positions from technologist to production dispatcher.
1957
Building on Pražská třída
Completion of the building on Pražská třída The building became the seat of the QUALITY HK upholsterers and saddlers cooperative and there began the production of upholstered furniture. The cooperative was later renamed DŘEVOTVAR, a traditional manufacturing cooperative of furniture and rope makers.
1932
Founding of a bag-making company
The father of Karel Pacák Sr founded a company in Třebechovice pod Orebem for making bags and leather goods, which was nationalized in 1948.
